Sucunamostat (SCO-792, TAK 792) is a potent, selective, reversible enteropeptidase inhibitor with IC50 of 4.6 and 5.4 nM for rat and human enteropeptidase, respectively.
SCO-792 displayed high selectivity against other serine proteases, showed < 50% inhibitory activity against chymotrypsin, DPP‐4, factor XIIa, factor Xa, and thrombin at 10 uM.
SCO‐792 inhibited plasma kallikrein with an IC50 value of 16 nM and plasmin with an IC50 value of 460 nM , also inhibited trypsin with an IC50 value of 3.3 nM.
SCO‐792 effectively and dose‐dependently inhibited plasma BCAA elevations induced by oral protein dosing in rats.
