Biological Activity

TCB-2 (TCB2( is a high affinity, selective agonist of serotonin 5-HT2A receptor with Ki of 0.75 nM (human 5-HT2AR).
TCB-2 elicits activation of ERK in HEK293 cells stably expressing human 5-HT2AR, but has no effect on 5-HT1AR expressing cells.
TCB-2 enhanced C-fiber-evoked dorsal horn potentials after spinal nerve ligation (SNL) in rats.
TCB-2 promotes defeat-induced anxiety and the acquisition of conditioned defeat in Syrian hamsters.
