A potent and selective inhibitors of leukotriene C4 synthase (LTC4S) with IC50 of 95 nM, Ki of 6 nM; shows no significant inhibitory effect on mPGES-1, MGST2, or 5-LO at 10 uM; potently inhibits cys-LT biosynthesis in immune cells (MM6 cell) with IC50 of 318 nM, increases lipoxin A4 levels in platelets and polymorphonuclear leukocytes; reduces LTE4 levels in peritoneal lavage fluid and significantly decreases vascular permeability in vivo.
