Biological Activity
TRV023 (TRV120023) is a selective, β-arrestin-biased agonist of angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) with pEC50 of 7.66 and 7.62 for β-Arrestin 1 and β-Arrestin 2 respectively.
TRV023 (TRV120023) promotes cardiac contractility, assessed by pressure-volume loop analyses, while blocking the effects of endogenous ANG II.
TRV023 (TRV120023) has cardioprotective and functional properties in vivo, which are distinct from losartan.
TRV023 (TRV120023) blocks angiotensin-induced hypertrophy, while promoting an increase in sarcomere Ca(2+) response.
