Chemical Structure : Ubistatin A
Catalog No.: PC-27977Not For Human Use, Lab Use Only.
Ubistatin A (ubiA, Ubistatin-A) is a small molecule inhibitor of proteasome-dependent degradation by binding the ubiquitin chain, binds ubiquitin and diubiquitin, shows strong preference for K48-linkages over K11 and K63, can penetrate cancer cells and alters cellular ubiquitin landscape.

Ubistatin A blockscell cycle progression by inhibiting cyclin B proteolysis and inhibits degradation of ubiquitinated Sic1 by purified proteasomes.
Ubistatin A shields ubiquitin conjugates from disassembly by a range of deubiquitinases and by the 26S proteasome.
Ubistatin A acts by disrupting a critical protein-protein interaction in the ubiquitin-proteasome system.
