Vosoritide (BMN-111, BMN111, BMN 111)

Catalog No.: PC-27287Not For Human Use, Lab Use Only.

Vosoritide (BMN-111) is a biologic analogue of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) and a potent stimulator of endochondral ossification, acts to restore chondrogenesis through its binding to natriuretic peptide receptor B (NPR-B, NPR2), resulting in the inhibition of downstream signalling pathways of the overactive FGFR3 gene.

Biological Activity

Vosoritide (BMN-111) is a biologic analogue of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) and a potent stimulator of endochondral ossification, acts to restore chondrogenesis through its binding to natriuretic peptide receptor B (NPR-B, NPR2), resulting in the inhibition of downstream signalling pathways of the overactive FGFR3 gene.
Vosoritide (BMN-111) antagonizes FGFR3 downstream signaling by inhibiting the pathway of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK).
Vosoritide (BMN-111) has a half-life 10 times that of CNP.
Vosoritide (BMN-111) is effective in significantly increasing the annualized growth velocity in children with achondroplasia before the fusion of the epiphyses.
