msR4M-L1 is a chemokine-selective CXCR4 ectodomain mimic that selectively binds to migration inhibitory factor (MIF) (KD<40 nM) but not CXCL12 (>140-fold selectivity)。
msR4M-L1 has potency compares well with established MIF inhibitors, whereas msR4M-L1 does not interfere with cardioprotective MIF/CD74 signaling.
msR4M-L1 enriches in atherosclerotic plaques, blocks arterial leukocyte adhesion, and inhibits atherosclerosis and inflammation in hyperlipidemic Apoe-/- mice in vivo.
msR4M-L1 has the full name as "MIF-specific human CXCR4 mimic-ECL1[97–110]-6-Ahx-12-Ado-ECL2[182–196].
