NS-5806 (NS5806) is a potent Kv4.3 channel activator that mediates the transient outward K+ current (Ito).
NS-5806 increases IKv4.3 peak current amplitude in CHO-K1 cells expressing KV4.3 and KChIP2 with EC50 of 5.3 uM.
NS-5806 also decays Kv4.1 independent of KChIP2, strongly inhibits Kv1.4 at 10 uM, but has no effect on Kv7.1, Kv11.1 and K(ir)2 currents.
NS-5806 increases ventricular Ito with a leftward shift in Ito activation and accelerated restitution at 10 uM.
