BZ-194 is a small molecule inhibitor of NAADP action that inhibit NAADP-mediated Ca2+ signaling in T cells, neither interferes with Ca2+ mobilization by IP3 or cyclic ADP-ribose nor with capacitative Ca2+ entry; specifically and effectively blocks NAADP-stimulated [3H]ryanodine binding to the purified type 1 ryanodine receptor, efficiently suppresses antigen-induced production of the major T cell cytokine IL-2.
