LX-2931 (LX2931) is a potent, selective and orally bioavailable S1P lyase (S1PL) inhibitor; dose-dependently decreases circulating lymphocyte numbers in multiple species and shows a therapeutic effect in rodent models of rheumatoid arthritis (RA); also increases S1P levels in F508del CFTR mutant mice, reduces MUC5AC and proinflammatory cytokine levels toward normal values.
